License FAQ
Answers below reflect the planned licensing model and may change before licensing ships.
Is nque free?
nque is free while it is in pre-release. Paid licenses are planned for the 1.0 release; pricing will be published on Buying a License.
How many machines can I use my license on?
Planned: a personal license covers the machines you personally use; a team license covers a defined number of seats. Final terms will be published with pricing.
Will old versions keep working?
Docs are versioned by major.minor (see the version selector at the top of each page). Your license will cover the versions you paid for, per the terms published at purchase time.
Do I need a license to attend a performance?
Planned: no. The operator running the show needs an activated license; audience members and display windows do not.
What about open-source components?
nque ships open-source software and attributes all of it. See Third-party licenses.
