Installation

Pre-release

nque is in pre-release. The release bundles built by CI are not code-signed or notarized yet. On macOS, Gatekeeper will show a warning; on Windows, SmartScreen may show a warning. See Notes on unsigned builds below for how to open them safely.

nque is a desktop application for macOS, Windows, and Linux.

Download

Installers for the current release (0.1.0):

  • macOS (Apple silicon): nque_0.1.0_aarch64.dmg
  • Linux: .AppImage / .deb / .rpm — not built yet (CI matrix is macOS-only)
  • Windows: .msi / -setup.exe — not built yet (CI matrix is macOS-only)

Notes on Unsigned Builds

These builds are currently unsigned. This is expected for a first release and will be addressed later if needed.

  • macOS: When opening the .dmg app for the first time, macOS may block it. Right-click the app (or Control+click) → Open → confirm the prompt. After that, it will open normally.
  • Windows: SmartScreen may show "Windows protected your PC". Click More info → Run anyway to continue. This is standard for unsigned executables.
  • Linux: .AppImage may need chmod +x <file> and --no-sandbox only in restricted container environments. .deb/.rpm install as usual on their respective distros.

Uninstalling

Uninstall instructions will be added here when installers ship.
